How sustainable is etarki?
We reuse everything we responsibly can — and choose new only when we must.
Each Etarki starts with a reclaimed vehicle. Interiors are built with repurposed wood and materials — those oak panels may have been furniture once. Mechanical parts that we don’t need, like combustion engines, often find a second life elsewhere. One even ended up powering a Médecins Sans Frontières vehicle in Africa.
But not everything can be second-hand. Batteries and electrical systems are new — for safety, performance and warranty reasons. The same goes for components where availability, function or certification demand it.
When we do buy new, we choose European-made, recyclable products wherever possible. Our battery supplier is based in Germany, and we're continuously improving every part of our process. Sustainability is not a badge. It's a commitment — and a work in progress.
